Meet Me in the Garden: Lush Elegance at Fox Hollow Farm

After 13 years together, Lauren and John began their forever as husband and wife during an enchanting garden celebration at Fox Hollow Farm in Issaquah. Their late-September nuptials coincided with a perfect fall day, perhaps brought about by the hired Etsy witch whose spell may or may not have given the weather a well-intentioned boost. Nevertheless, the Pacific Northwest sparkled, and the pair gathered with friends and family amid the venue’s wooded hills and historic 1940s-era manor to say, “I do.” A romantic asymmetrical floral arch in shades of bright green, muted peach, blush and traditional white tones created their altar, the colors inspired by the transition from summer to fall. Bundles of more stunning blooms, including calla lilies, garden roses and hydrangeas, lined the grassy aisle. The bride’s bouquet was a vision in white, featuring a mix of orchids and calla lilies (her favorite) and accented with hanging emerald amaranthus.

After the vows, guests found their way to the tented reception space, where chandeliers dripping with greenery hung above candlelit tablescapes that echoed the romantic palette. Of course, the transition into party mode was marked not only by the classic black-and-white checkered dance floor, but also by Lauren’s wardrobe change from her striking A-line gown into a beaded mini with plenty of sparkle. To finish the evening in true Seattle fashion, burgers from local late-night staple Dick’s Drive-In were served on silver platters.
