It was at the historic Belle Chapel in Snohomish, with its hand-carved cathedral ceiling and private garden, that Leslie and Larry were destined to become husband and wife. The pair fell in love with the venue’s intimate charm, old-world beauty (it was built in 1885) and a garden frog statue they noticed on their first walk through—a discovery they took as a sign that Larry’s late mother, who loved frogs, would be there with them.
On a crisp fall day, they said “I do” surrounded by their most cherished friends and family. Clad in an elegant lace gown, Leslie walked down the floral-lined aisle with her parents at her side, her lace-gloved hands carrying a dramatic, oversized bouquet of greenery and white blooms. She joined her groom at the altar, beneath an archway of greenery and white wisteria, where they exchanged vows and lit a traditional unity candle.
Post-ceremony, the couple retreated to a private cocktail hour to spend precious time alone as newlyweds before rejoining the celebration. Personal touches such as a cigar station, cheeky custom matchbooks and an Etsy witch on hand hired to keep the rain away made the wedding feel authentic to them. Even more special, their beloved chihuahua was always at their side. —Lauren Mang
