Marlanna and Josh’s late-August destination wedding boasted a curated weekend itinerary—hikes, hangouts and a favorite-things guide for guests—and personal details that made for a welcoming, adventure- filled experience. A pre-event display featured DIY programs in the form of a faux newspaper, “The Newlywed Post,” and a guest book alternative requesting that guests write down “bucket list” items for Marlanna and Josh to complete. The couple also decided to set up a “Generations of Love” table—honoring married couples in the families—alongside their “In Memory” table.

The ceremony embraced intentionality, with personalized vows, a ring warming ritual and an unforgettable entrance: Marlanna emerging from across a pond for her walk to the altar. Unique touches continued with a joyful flower man—her uncle Roger, sporting an adorable tutu— pastel floral embroidery on the end of the bride’s cathedral-length veil and a playful Photo Dash game set to one of their favorite songs where they snapped a photo at every single table.

Their love of the outdoors and street food shaped the menu. A taco truck served up their favorite meal with chips and guacamole, while s’mores and donuts were enjoyed in lieu of cake. Custom bar napkins featured their dog Theo, who also inspired a nonalcoholic signature drink. The florals were romantic and whimsical, with draping greenery and summer hues of peach and terracotta, including alstroemeria blooms, which Josh often gifts Marlanna. A private last dance capped off the night—a sweetly intimate moment before the grand bubble exit.
