Anna Jeszeck and Walter Cai’s love story began in 2016 when Anna’s high school best friend introduced her to Walter, a Ph.D. student at the University of Washington. Although their connection was initially platonic, their friendship blossomed into a romance as they navigated busy schedules and late-night adventures. Walter proposed with a jigsaw puzzle, one of Anna’s favorite activities, which was later displayed at their wedding alongside a Polaroid guest book. For their nuptials, they chose a sunset-inspired palette and incorporated luxuriant Pacific Northwest foliage. The ceremony at the Seattle Asian Art Museum embraced the venue’s Art Deco elegance while summery florals brought bright hues to the space. A dramatic asymmetrical floral arch with cascading foliage and sunset-toned blooms served as the focal point. With their best friend officiating—the same person who introduced them—Anna and Walter exchanged vows they had written together, sealing their commitment in a heartfelt moment. Following the ceremony, the floral arch and sculptures were repurposed to bring color and nature to the reception. The arch framed the entryway and created a backdrop for the couple’s central table. The tall floral-topped gold stands were placed on round tables throughout the room, while their floral bases were arranged along the central table, surrounded by crystal tea lights and floating candles, creating an enchanting atmosphere.
