A year after their originally planned wedding date, Katie McCue and Brandon Miller said “I do” at The Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa. The classic white wedding, which was accented with notes of navy, was given a few personalized twists to make it unique to the couple. Set along the shores of Lake Washington, the celebration kicked off with Katie walking down the aisle in a boatneck illusion-bodice gown. The bride carried a timeless bouquet of white blooms—featuring anemones, white roses and baby’s breath—as a string quartet performed. An outdoor cocktail reception followed the ceremony, and guests were invited to take private boat tours or watch as Paige Lindsey of Paige Lindsey Designs painted a picture of the floral ceremony arch. Navy cocktail napkins were emblazoned with fun facts about the couple, noting that the newlyweds had met in theology class when Katie called out Brandon for being on his phone; and that August 1 is not only their wedding day but the day they moved into their first home together. Under a billowing tent, guests were seated at tables adorned with marble place cards, wooden table numbers, elegant white floral arrangements and place settings adorned with navy napkins to tie it all together. As the night came to an end, Katie and Brandon called upon guests to take to the dance floor and come together for s’mores around the fire.
