Elegant, Moody Seattle Wedding Honors Feline Friends at The Arctic Club Hotel

Kiersten Overdahl and Chad Lueckenotte’s authentic wedding celebration was both glamorous and personal, filled with deeply meaningful people, design details and furry friends. The couple’s love story began when Kiersten’s made of honor-to-be, Laura, met Chad at a Friendsgiving gathering. Laura called Kiersten immediately afterwards and told her she’d found a perfect guy for her. Laura’s husband also knew Chad since their childhoods, so he gave Chad a call and told him something similar. Flash forward through all their first dates and earliest years of their relationship, and the couple lives together in Seattle with their treasured cats named Muffin and Marvin. Including their feline friends in their wedding plans was a no-brainer, creating several heartwarming details that both the couple and guests adored. Several large cutouts of Muffin and Marvin’s faces were ordered from Build a Head to add a playful and adorable touch to the celebration, spinning between the hands of many guests on the dancefloor long into the night. Chad even agreed to get a third cat as part of his wedding vows, which was met with excited cheers from Kiersten and the guests. The Arctic Club Hotel served as a charming and elegant venue that created a stunning moody atmosphere, with dark chocolate velvet colors complementing the tall, arched ceilings, stained glass windows and simple deep red roses. Every detail, from the cards to the signs, was meticulously thought out – the bride’s mother even worked as the wedding planner, making the special day even more deeply meaningful.
