With intimate gatherings now more prevalent (and necessary) than ever, this may be the time to ditch those dancing shoes and toast to love, life and adventure in less traditional, yet ever genuine ways. Seattle-based couple Lizzie McMinn and Piotr Mintus opted to do just that. With the help of Adventure Instead Elopement Photographers & Guides, the couple planned and executed an undeniably epic celebration for two, which began with a floatplane jaunt for the bride from Seattle to Orcas Island, where she met her groom. The couple then took a flight to Ross Lake in the North Cascades and picnicked on a mountain overlooking the lake. Upon the couple’s return to Orcas, the wedding ceremony commenced, with the couple’s Kenmore Air floatplane pilot and a desk attendant at the couple’s hotel (The Outlook Inn) serving as witnesses. Their photographer, Tori Mercedes of Adventure Instead, acted as their officiant. The couple later celebrated with family at a dinner reception, capping off the weekend celebration with a toast among the people they love the most.
An adventure to remember, Lizzie and Piotr's elopement is one of a kind.
