THE COUPLE: Boeing mechanic Taylor Ryan can thank his brother for introducing him to his future wife, Amanda Hottel (who works at a cosmetic med spa): First friends with the elder Ryan brother, Amanda soon found herself drawn to Taylor, too, forming a friendship that later bloomed into love. The two dated for more than four years before Taylor proposed at a family barbecue.
THE CARNIVAL: The Everett-based couple set out to craft a cute carnival theme for their summer celebration at Dairyland in Snohomish. Family members pitched in to build a homemade “kissing booth” for photos, and the bride collected an assortment of antique decor pieces to accent the couple’s red, mint and gold color scheme. The pair waited to take photos until after the ceremony, lending sweet poignancy to Taylor’s first glimpse of Amanda as she walked by the homemade heart stakes accenting the grass aisle. After the “I dos,” guests nibbled from the popcorn bar, supped on barbecue and then danced the night away in the barn.
