Washington Wedding Day Fall/Winter 2024

Hannah Fuchigami and Gunnar Conley’s nuptials kicked off a beautiful new chapter of their life, surrounded by friends and family. The couple first met when Gunnar crashed a Halloween party thrown by one of their mutual friends. Hannah introduced herself, beat him at a few games, and, as they say, “the rest was history.” Prior to the ceremony, the couple exchanged private vows and had their first look at the W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory. The wedding venue was brilliantly decorated with dynamic colors, florals and greenery, representing the couple’s desire for a backyard garden vibe. They even used Pantone color swatches, along with other playful signage, as table numbers at the reception. After a beautiful exchange of vows, Hannah surprised her guests at the reception with a dress change and a quick haircut. Details such as hand-painted candles lining the aisle, handwritten messages for each guest, and a temporary-tattoo bar made for a joy-filled day that reflected the couple’s love and appreciation for each other and their guests. “Be thoughtful about the people you want surrounding you on your wedding day,” advises the bride. “They should be the ones who will champion your marriage.”
