THE COUPLE: High school sweethearts Rachel Martinez and Brent Hammack started dating when they were 15 years old and have been inseparable ever since: Attending the same schools from high school all the way through graduate school, they now both work as physical therapists for the same company. After getting engaged, the couple decided to make their wedding extra-special by getting married on their 11th anniversary.
THE DESIGN: Many hands helped make the big day personal and special. “We were lucky enough to have so many friends and family members participate in our wedding, from our photographer, who went to high school with us, to my uncle, who was our officiant, and our friend who killed it as our DJ,” Rachel recalls. The couple created much of the decor for the wedding, from the hanging paper garlands that hung from the reception space’s rafters to the planter box centerpieces that gave a creative elegance to the celebration.
