Alyssa and Saphir's wedding at Hotel Sorrento in Downtown Seattle showcased a beautiful rose-hued design from A. Renee Events. Alyssa donned a breathtaking floral Hayley Paige wedding gown and a pretty headband from Brides & Hairpins. Bloomed Out crafted gorgeous bouquets for Alyssa and her bridesmaids, as well as the lovely floral detailing on the ceremony arbor. The reception space featured pretty hues of pink and gold, and the couple closed out the night with cake from Madison Park Bakery.
From the bride:
"Saphir and I first met in 2009 when we were freshmen in college. We didn’t start dating until our junior year and it was five years later in 2017 that he proposed. It started out just like any other Friday – we got up, got ready for work and then both left for work, or so I thought. My manager let me leave early that day (I later found out Saphir had coordinated this with her) and when I walked into our apartment it was literally the cleanest I’ve ever seen it and I knew immediately that he was about to propose. There were also flowers and candles everywhere. Saphir was in the middle of the apartment and he handed me the first clue - he had created a scavenger hunt around the apartment and the clues were things meaningful to our relationship. Long story short, I successfully found the ring, he proposed and then told me to pack a bag, as he had planned a weekend getaway to Bellingham and had rented an AirBnB right off Chuckanut Drive. Everything about the entire proposal was so thoughtful – it was absolutely wonderful.
When we thought about our wedding we thought of it more in terms of the feelings that we wanted our guests to feel– warm and welcomed, relaxed and intimate. When we toured the Hotel Sorrento we knew it was the perfect venue for us. We loved the Sorrento for its history, old-world charm and the sweeping views of the city. In terms of décor we knew from the start that we wanted to have a more classic and elegant vibe that would tie in with the venue. The Sorrento already has so much character and we felt that we should keep things simple with lots of flowers and votives.
The wedding day itself was in a word, perfect - we could not have hoped for a better wedding and really all the credit goes to our amazing team of vendors. It is all such a blur and at the end of the day what we remember is being able to spend time with our family and friends, many of whom we had not seen since we graduated college, and for us that was really what it was all about."
