This styled shoot is everything we've ever wanted and more! A gorgeous setting, beautiful blooms and a hot air balloon? It doesn't get any better. Keep reading to hear from the incredible creatives that brought this design to life.
From Genevieve Tharp of Events Northwest:
"Towards the end of the summer on the Enumclaw Plateau, it’s not uncommon to see one or two of these lofty giants grazing the skies. I’ve always been fascinated by ballooning and wanted to dig in and learn more about what it has to offer the PNW wedding community. After speaking with Eliav Cohen of Seattle Ballooning, it was clear to me that pilots, drivers, helpers, and enthusiasts alike are ready for a resurgence, especially on this Pierce County plateau where more and more venues with airy fields are emerging.
I set off to gather a team of vendors that would really complement and bring to life our vision for this styled shoot. Unique, private elopements are gaining popularity in our community, and are quickly emerging as an adventurous AND affordable option for couples. These pilots are happy to act as officiants and eager to spread the word.
We wanted to keep colors and design elements simple, complimenting the summer sunrise with sky blue and soft lemonade pink. It would’ve been easy to slip into a 'circus-y' theme, so a smooth, uncomplicated set-up was just the thing. Our day began at 3am, and each vendor really went all-in on this gorgeous day."
From Julianne DeShayes of Something to Chalk About:
"When one of your favorite venues is hosting a styled shoot, and it just so happens to feature some of your favorite vendors, and is led by a rock star event planner, you say 'yes' and thank your lucky stars that they thought of you. The addition of the hot air balloon had me thinking Sinatra lyrics (“Fly Me to the Moon”, “Come Fly with Me” etc) right from the beginning, and I think those enchanting words could not have a been a better match for this shoot!
From Paula Pritchard of Paisley Petals:
"I’ve been craving projects with more color, so a sunrise shoot with a hot air balloon was too good to pass up! Inspired by the pink, blue and gold tones of a PNW sunrise, I walked the fields of Laughing Goat Flower Farm with owner Amy Brown to hand-select the stunning flowers and grasses for these designs. I chose to design without foliage to keep the soft yet striking sunrise palette intact."
