Immediately following the famous “golden hour”—the darling of photographers worldwide—comes an equally stunning time of day: twilight. Magic can happen as the sun dips below the horizon and a deeper color begins to pour over the landscape. Twilight at the Trillium Nursery Farm in Redmond set a breathtaking scene for this Old-World design accented with contemporary details. “Drawing from the lush surroundings of the gardens and meticulously landscaped surroundings, this design combines vintage elements that whimsically sync with modern touches,” says planner and designer Marcea Galindo of MG Event Design.
The chosen blossoms—butterfly ranunculus, astrantia, spirea and jasmine vine— expertly complemented the dreamy dogwood tree adorned with ivory blooms and some additional climbing florals. Details were thoughtfully incorporated to create a sense of nostalgia—antique furniture draped in wild, lush flowers softened the tableau and built an atmosphere of romance.
The bride’s billowing gown added an air of graceful playfulness. Flowing effortlessly, the dress was a perfect pairing with the groom’s custom-made suit, which was classically elegant with subtle modern touches. Together, their looks embodied the whimsical references to the past that inspired the day’s design.
