Piper Zeno and Greg Hart were inspired by a story in Washington Wedding Day (formerly Seattle Bride) of an elopement to the North Cascades and Orcas Island via seaplane—a wedding scenario the bride had always dreamed of. As luck would have it, they were able to find the same photographer who worked on that story, and the couple decided it was destiny. On their elopement day, Piper wore a simple silk dress with a pearl-adorned veil, the embodiment of understated elegance. They ditched traditional florals, letting the island’s beauty speak for itself. Their best friend officiated, and they shared heartfelt private vows. The highlight was the seaplane adventure. Their pilot, Austin, spotted a pod of orcas and landed on a private sandbar so they could walk barefoot on the sand. The scenic flight over the islands was everything they had envisioned and more.
