Taking inspiration from the most important man in her life and a tap truck she found on Instagram, Emily Foster opened a mobile bar, Beviamo (@beviamotaptruck). While researching the Italian truck, a 1978 Piaggio Ape, she felt an immediate connection to her Italian heritage and her beloved grandfather Hank. “He was a true Italian gentleman who enjoyed a good drink, time with family and friends, and serving others,” says Foster. Thus, it was only natural that she decided to name her business Beviamo, which in Italian means “Let’s drink.” And of course, she christened the truck “Hank.”

Since then, Hank has taken on a life of his own. He has the capacity to pour four kegged beverages at once, whether beer, mixed drinks or soda. And Foster’s grandfather is with her every day in the form of a heart sewn into the cab seating; the material for the heart was hand-cut from Hank’s favorite overalls by Foster’s mother. Beviamo is more than just a business for the single mom, it’s also a way of celebrating her grandfather. Says Foster, “Serving others is what fills my cup, so even if it’s just drinks, it’s my jam!”
