THE PAIR: Megan Arpin, a writer and editor (and regular Seattle Bride contributor), met Michael Bartley, vice president of marketing and creative at Indigo Slate, four years ago through mutual friends.
VINTAGE LOVE: The couple combined their love of 1920s, Paris-inspired vintage with their excitement for sharing their most beloved parts of Seattle with out-of-towners. Goodie baskets greeting guests in their rooms at Hotel Ändra included custom-monogrammed umbrellas and vintage-looking tickets for the Emerald City Trolley, which shuttled them from ceremony to reception. There, vintage furniture, live Jazz Age tunes by Miss Rose & Her Rhythm Percolators, plus a projected montage that Michael made of romantic movie scenes, helped provide the backdrop for a self-serve food truck dinner and dancing late into the night.
BABIES R US: With three girls in the extended family (then 6, 7 and 9 months old), “We knew we needed to make them the stars of the show,” says Megan. The “flower babies” took a trip down the aisle in a vintage farm cart, without a single tear.
