Dearest Washington Wedding Day family,
We intended to send this message at an earlier date but held off due to the events in recent weeks. At Washington Wedding Day, we’re focused on highlighting love. We hope that in trying times, we lean into loving each other a little tighter.
Fall is upon us, and with the change of the season comes some exciting change at Washington Wedding Day.
I am so pleased to introduce Lauren Mang as the new editor of Washington Wedding Day! As many of you know, I have taken on the leadership role of Editorial Director and now oversee the editorial team for all seven of our brands at Iron Diamond Media, a position that keeps my plate very full. Thus, I am taking a step back from day-to-day operations, though my role ensures I will continue to be a part of Washington Wedding Day.
Lauren is already familiar with our brands having worked as a freelancer for Washington Wedding Day (formerly Seattle Bride) and Oregon Wedding Day (then Oregon Bride), so she brings a history and love for all things weddings to the table. Lauren lives in Portland, and we’re looking forward to having her be a physical presence in the PNW market.
Lauren began her journalism career at Visual Merchandising and Store Design magazine. She later moved to Dallas to join PaperCity magazine as an assistant editor before heading to the Pacific Northwest, where she became part of the Seattle magazine team. There, she served as online editor and home interiors editor before being promoted to senior digital editor of seattlemag.com. In Portland, Lauren contributed to a range of publications, including international architecture and culture title GRAY, Seattle Bride (now Washington Wedding Day), Oregon Bride (now Oregon Wedding Day), BRIDES.com, Quartz and Fossil Inc. After several years as Fossil’s global copy manager, she is thrilled to return to the magazine industry and even more thrilled to be part of this creative and thriving wedding space.
Please feel free to continue to reach out to me at [email protected]. But for day-to-day matters and submissions, you can reach Lauren at [email protected] or on Instagram at lauren_irondiamond.
Lauren, take it away…
Cheers,
Lara Burnap, Editorial Director
