John Monaghan and Angad Dhindsa’s Seattle wedding was a vibrant celebration of love, culture and community. The couple met through a mutual friend while living in the Bay Area and later built a life together in Seattle, where they share two beloved dogs—one of whom served as ring bearer and flower dog during the ceremony. The day began at their home, where excitement and laughter filled the air as they got ready with their furry companions. After a sweet stroll through Gas Works Park, they made their way to the MV Skansonia for a waterfront ceremony that was equal parts emotional and exuberant. Set against the shimmer of Lake Union, the couple exchanged personal vows beneath a showstopping floral mandap arbor bursting with vibrant summer blooms, a nod to Angad’s Indian heritage. Their best friend officiated, blending humor and sentiment in a ceremony that had every guest beaming. At the reception, guests were welcomed with custom signage, playful sticker favors and a menu that fused Pacific Northwest flavors with traditional Indian cuisine—bringing Chutneys Bistro onboard for a delicious twist. As the sun set, the floral arch was softly lit, creating a romantic glow while guests danced under the stars. The grooms’ nieces and nephews took full advantage of the photo booth, and the dance floor stayed packed all night long, especially when Indian wedding songs turned up the energy. From start to finish, every detail of John and Angad’s day reflected their shared life, community and love story in the most beautiful way.
