Wedding Colors: Metallics

Mix gold, copper and silver for a warm, autumnal vibe

Once considered something of a faux pas, mixing and matching brushed coppers, sparkling silvers and gleaming gold accents is a chic, fresh approach to a sumptuous color scheme. Solomon Event Planning owner  Stephanie Solomon, who is known for her elegant, refined celebrations, adds depth by varying subtle touches (such as a brass clasp on a sweet clutch) with bold accents (a textured gold cake) for a rich, autumnal palette that exudes elegance. “Adding an edited selection of metallics can be a bit industrial in concept, but comes across warm and glowing when you introduce soft accents like a textured copper cake,” she says. “Metallics are timeless and are ideal for achieving an elegant look that adds a piquant aspect to any wedding.”
