Kylie O’Brien and Jordan Richards met a decade ago while studying abroad in Rome, Italy. Their wedding took place at The Golf Club at Newcastle, a beautiful indoor/outdoor venue with a picturesque backdrop overlooking the Cascade Mountains and Lake Washington. Their “Love You Forever” wedding slogan was incorporated throughout the event: sewn into Kylie’s gloves, in the flower wall photo op, and imprinted on the Nike Air Force 1 sneakers the couple changed into for the reception. The wedding followed a classic black and white theme with Italian-inspired details, such as the Aperol spritzes for the welcome drink and homemade limoncello for the wedding favors. The couple read their personal vows, and had Duke, their lovable Bernese Mountain dog, serve as ring bearer. Another detail special to the couple was the repurposing of the wedding gown worn by Kylie’s mom. The dress was remade into a bridal robe for Kylie to wear before the celebration, while she wore a white strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline for the wedding. Sticking with tradition, the groom wore a classic black tux, which stood out against the arrangements of white roses and hydrangeas selected for their classic black-tie affair.
