Forgive us, but we’ll admit THAT THIS Fall/Winter 2018 issue holds a very special place in our hearts.
Not only is it chock-full of beautiful local real weddings and our annual Best of Bride feature, highlighting the area’s top vendors (page 129), but it also marks our 20th anniversary of bringing the spirit of Washington weddings to life within our pages. We feel privileged to have produced 40 issues alongside a host of talented vendors and generations of couples (by our math, we may have had a hand in over 258,000 King County weddings over the past two decades!); and what makes it even better is that we’ve sure had fun doing it.
Which is why it is only fitting that this issue is infused with a special joie de vivre—from the darling proposal stories and funny first-date tales found in so many of our jaw-dropping real weddings (don’t miss the special role a corgi played in the wedding featured on page 86!) to the imaginative, oh-so-Seattle reception “bar” ideas dreamed up by wedding planner The Invisible Hostess, beginning on page 120. Of course, there are gorgeous new gowns both natural (page 100) and dazzlingly decadent (page 110), as well as our favorite new ideas for rugged yet refined boutonnieres (page 56) and fruit-kissed cakes (page 50).
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your love stories both past and present, and here’s to 20 years more!
