The Escala building certainly had its fair share of fame, what with it being the central setting for a little phenomenon know as Fifty Shades of Grey. For those of you familiar with the series by E.L. James, you'd expect any affair held here to be over-the-top glam with a bit of a dark side, and this black-tie wedding shot by Carina Skrobecki, does not disappoint. Everyone from the bride and groom to the wedding party is dressed to the nines in timeless, yet modern attire fit for a romance novel. Not only does this wedding offer detail upon detail of gilded inspiration, but for those of you Fifty fans, it'll give you that sneak peek behind the scenes we know you've been dying to see, whether you'll admit it or not. You're welcome.

From Carina Skrobecki:

"Deric and Julia were married just shy of their seven year anniversary in downtown Seattle at Escala. These two met while working at J. Crew, so it only makes sense that Julia now owns her own childrens boutique, French Toast, and continues to infuse all things in life with a sophisticated flair. They kept the wedding on the small side, about 70 guests, but made sure no detail went unnoticed. In three words, their wedding was classy, stylish, and charming."
