The Ruins in Seattle’s Lower Queen Anne neighborhood is a unique and eclectic venue, with its maximalist aesthetic, transporting guests to another time and place. “For this styled shoot, we wanted to utilize the space in an entirely new way that we haven’t seen done before at this particular venue,” notes photographer Taylor Ochoa. “The building is unassuming from the outside, but once you step through the doors, you’re transported to an entirely different world. With a speakeasy, art-filled walls, guests will be drawn into the experience and celebration of your day in an instant.”

Special features abounded in this shoot, from the ceremonial circle in the middle of the space to the U-shaped reception table with a flower “meadow” in the center. A profusion of gold adornments, including gold flecks in the Champagne tower and dinner menus trimmed in gold foil, infused the scene with a sense of luxury.
