Angela Houser and Coleton Foruria’s nuptials took full advantage of the rustic ambiance and stunning surroundings at Tin Roof Barn. Nestled in the Columbia River Gorge and enveloped by peaceful pastures and expansive apple orchards, the venue made for “a perfect setting for a perfect day,” according to bride Angela. A unique touch was the use of hops in the décor, which was in recognition of Angela’s parents, hop farmers who have grown hops in the Yakima Valley for more than 40 years. Her parents’ farm, C&C Hop Farms, is a fourth-generation hop farm dating back to the 1900s, so it was important to Angela to honor this piece of her family’s history. To do so, hops were included in the flower arrangements, centerpieces, boutonnières, and the bar and ceremony décor. For their color palette, Angela and Coleton chose hues of green and mauve. Floral design by Trellis Flowers worked from this color palette, arranging mauve, pink and red blooms mixed with the beautiful hops. Favors for guests included adorable on-theme beer cozies inscribed with the wedding date. Airy lights and extravagant chandeliers set a simple yet refined backdrop for the reception, where guests danced the night away in celebration of the newlyweds.
