“Our wedding day was nothing short of perfect,” reminisces Lucia, of her October nuptials to Wesley. “We both grew up in Seattle, and [we] fell in love exploring the Pacific Northwest together. We knew we wanted to get married on the Puget Sound.” When the couple toured Vashon Field and Pond, on Vashon Island, they knew they’d found the perfect setting. A mini, COVID friendly, 30-person outdoor celebration was “short and sweet,” says the bride, “and shot by the lovely Marci Hohner who perfectly captured our spirit.” While intimate, attention to detail and design never proved lacking. Rich, autumn hues; gorgeous florals; stunning fashion; and bohemian-inspired details filled the day. The groomsmen and bridesmaids walked down in small groups, followed by Wesley walking the couple’s dog, Roscoe. Lucia's father drove her down to the field in a Land Rover Defender 1-10, while the bride’s best childhood friend played guitar: First, an acoustic version of “Harvest Moon” by Neil Young (the night before the actual full, harvest moon) as Lucia walked down the aisle, and next for the couple as they walked down the aisle has husband and wife, After the ceremony, the wedding party and guests hopped on a ferry from Vashon to Point Defiance, culminating in an intimate backyard reception at Lucia's father's home.
