Catherine Golden, who works in data analytics, and business intelligence consultant Chris Brown went on their first date at Stoneburner in Ballard two weeks after swiping right on Tinder. Lots of stories and laughs were shared and without realizing it, Catherine and Chris looked up to find they were the last ones in the restaurant that night. After a few years of dating, Chris proposed to his prospective bride at the Olympic Sculpture Park.
This fun-filled wedding included a surprise performance by the University of Washington marching band, late-night hot dogs, a sparkler send-off and guests from all over the country celebrating Catherine and Chris committing their lives to each other. Along with playing several Husky classics, the band also learned the fight song from Catherine’s alma mater, the University of Georgia, and played it for the Bulldog fans in the crowd. “It was so special to see people from the different parts of our lives standing together in one place,” Catherine says.
