A winter wonderland proved the perfect setting for Becca Taylor and Patrick Cassleman’s sophisticated wedding, which paid homage to the couple’s first trip together to Iceland. Taking place at Leavenworth’s Far and Away Cabin, the ceremony brought a new family together as Becca and Patrick, alongside Patrick’s two children, tied the knot against a breathtaking Washington backdrop. A snow storm the day before the wedding left eight feet of snow on the ground and the groom, groom’s brothers and bride’s father, carved a snow aisle leading to the ceremony. The two exchanged vows in front of an arch enveloped in bold sunset-hued florals, which set a stunning contrast against the muted colors of their surroundings. The couple wholeheartedly embraced their ethereal winter landscape, with Becca’s entire bridal party adorned in snow boots, Becca wrapped in a chic bridal coat from Celtic & Co., and guests warmed by steaming cups from a hot chocolate station. Among the Nordic traditions featured was a ceremonial bonfire; in addition, Nordic flavors were highlighted on the six-course menu at the couple’s rustic yet modern reception, which took place at Omnia Mountain Lodge. For favors, guests received custom-designed ceramic mugs featuring puffins, chosen by the couple as a symbol of their love. Despite the cold wintry weather, Becca and Patrick infused warmth and love into their special day.
